When I try to download a video, "download this video" button does not appear. How to solve this problem?
First you should have latest version of IDM installed. You may use "Help->Check for updates..." menu item to update IDM. Or you may download the latest version and install it over your current one. Please note that all IDM settings and downloads will not be affected by using these types of updates.
Then please read how to fix IDM integration into all popular browsers.
Check that you have 6.42.32 version (6.42.22 for FireFox) of "IDM integration module" extension in your browsers.
Please note that some sites use protocols that are not yet supported by IDM. For such sites IDM cannot show video download panel. We plan to add support for additional protocols like RTSP in one of the future versions of IDM.
Some videos (for example private videos on YouTube) may use protected protocol that IDM does not support for legal reasons (read details).
If you still do not see IDM video download panel please try these steps:
- Try to press on F5 or Ctrl+F5 several times to reload the page.
- Check if you use VPN, try to use IDM with and without VPN.
- Try to clear your browser cache.
If it still does not work and problem is with You_Tube follow these steps:
- Pay attention that to show video download panel on You_Tube, IDM should be launched and its icon should be on task bar. If it is not, launch it manually and try to reload the web page.
- Try to log in and log out from your Google account and check if video download panel appears in any of these states.
